Khammash Family App — Privacy Policy

The Khammash Family app ("the app") is a private community app for members of the Khammash family. It is not a public consumer app — new members must be approved by a family administrator before gaining access. This page explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and how it's protected.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and phone number, used to create and secure your account (via Firebase Authentication) and to identify you within the family directory.
• Photos, videos, and voice messages: a profile picture you choose to upload, and any photos, videos, or voice recordings you choose to attach to an announcement, a family post, a marketplace listing, or a message. These are stored via Cloudinary, our image and media-hosting provider. Recording audio or video only happens when you explicitly start a recording or pick a file yourself — the app never records or captures media in the background.
• Family tree information: relationships, gender, and living/deceased status you or an administrator enter, used to build and display the shared family tree.
• Content you post: announcements and family posts you create, and comments and replies you write on announcements, including any text, images, or videos. Comments are visible to approved family members while an administrator allows comments on that announcement. You can delete your own comments and report other members' comments to the administrators, and comments from members you have blocked are hidden from you. When you delete your account, your comments are deleted.
• Family Marketplace listings: if you post a listing in the Family Marketplace (something for sale, something you are looking for, a business, a service, or an item to lend), we store what you enter: the title, description, category, condition, price and currency, country and city, photos and an optional video, and, for a business, its name, logo, Instagram handle, delivery option and product list. Your name is shown on the listing. Your phone number is never copied onto a listing: for each listing you choose whether other members see Call and WhatsApp buttons, which use the number in your profile. Listings are visible only to approved family members. In sections that require approval, a family moderator reviews a listing before it appears, and a declined listing is visible only to you and the moderators. Listings for sale, wanted items and lending expire after 30 days unless you renew them. We also record that you accepted the marketplace rules, and the listings you save as favourites, which only you can see. You can report a listing to the moderators and block its owner so their listings are hidden from you. Payment and handover happen directly between members outside the app — the app does not process payments or collect payment details. When you delete your account, your listings and favourites are deleted.
• Sharing a listing or announcement: when you tap Share, the app prepares a message with the details and a link, and sends it only through the app and to the people you choose (for example, WhatsApp). The link opens the item in the app for family members; on the web it shows a general page, not the item's details.
• Messages to administrators: if you contact a family administrator through the app's messaging feature, the text and any attachments you send are stored so an administrator can read and reply. Administrators can read and delete these conversations as part of moderating the app.
• Private messages between members: approved members can send each other private one-to-one messages, including photos, videos, and voice recordings. The text and attachments are stored so the conversation can be shown to both of you, and only the two members in a conversation can read it — administrators cannot. If you report a message, a copy of that one message (its text and any attachment) is sent to the family administrators so they can review it and, if needed, delete it. You can delete messages you sent, delete a conversation from your own inbox, and block a member so neither of you can message the other. When you delete your account, the messages you sent are deleted.
• Follows: if you choose to follow another member's family-post activity, we store that you follow them so we can notify you of their new posts, replies, and reactions. You can unfollow at any time, which removes this record.
• App preferences: settings such as the notification sound you choose and whether you have closed the opening banner are stored with your account, so they follow you to other devices.
• Push notification token: a device identifier used only to deliver notifications to you (for example, prayer-time reminders or approval updates), via Firebase Cloud Messaging / Apple Push Notification service.
• Location (on-device only): if you enable location access, your device's coordinates are used locally to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction. This location data is never transmitted to our servers or stored — it stays on your device.

How we use your information

Your information is used solely to operate the app's features: displaying the family tree and directory, delivering notifications, managing the admin-approval workflow for new members and family-tree edits, letting you message a family administrator or other members privately, follow other members' family-post activity, post and browse listings in the Family Marketplace, and letting you use in-app content such as prayer times, Quran, and adhkar. We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or analytics, and we do not sell or share your data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

Third-party services

The app is built on Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, and Cloud Messaging), which stores and processes the account, family-tree, and content data described above on our behalf. Profile photos, the photos and videos you attach, and program documents you upload are stored via Cloudinary, our image/file-hosting provider. The News section displays public headlines from external news outlets' own publicly published RSS feeds (e.g., BBC, Al Jazeera) — no personal data is sent to these outlets.

Data retention and deletion

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below, or by asking a family administrator. Full details of how to request deletion, what is deleted, and what is kept are on our account deletion page.

Children's privacy

The app is intended for use by members of the Khammash family and is not directed at children under 13. Family members of any age may appear in the family tree as entries managed by an adult family member or administrator.

تطبيق عائلة الخمّاش ("التطبيق") هو تطبيق خاص لأفراد عائلة الخمّاش. وهو ليس تطبيقًا عامًا للمستهلكين — يجب أن يوافق أحد مسؤولي العائلة على انضمام أي عضو جديد قبل حصوله على صلاحية الدخول. توضح هذه الصفحة المعلومات التي يجمعها التطبيق، وكيفية استخدامها، وكيفية حمايتها.

المعلومات التي نجمعها

• معلومات الحساب: الاسم والبريد الإلكتروني ورقم الهاتف، تُستخدم لإنشاء حسابك وتأمينه (عبر Firebase Authentication) ولتعريفك ضمن دليل العائلة.
• الصور ومقاطع الفيديو والرسائل الصوتية: صورة شخصية تختار رفعها، وأي صور أو مقاطع فيديو أو تسجيلات صوتية تختار إرفاقها بإعلان أو منشور عائلي أو إعلان في متجر العائلة أو رسالة. تُخزَّن هذه عبر خدمة Cloudinary لاستضافة الصور والوسائط. لا يبدأ التسجيل الصوتي أو المرئي إلا عندما تبدأ التسجيل بنفسك أو تختار ملفًا بنفسك — لا يقوم التطبيق أبدًا بالتسجيل في الخلفية.
• معلومات شجرة العائلة: العلاقات العائلية والجنس وحالة الحياة أو الوفاة التي تدخلها أنت أو أحد المسؤولين، وتُستخدم لبناء شجرة العائلة المشتركة وعرضها.
• المحتوى الذي تنشره: الإعلانات ومنشورات العائلة التي تنشئها، والتعليقات والردود التي تكتبها على الإعلانات، بما في ذلك أي نصوص أو صور أو مقاطع فيديو. تظهر التعليقات لأعضاء العائلة المعتمدين طالما سمح أحد المسؤولين بالتعليق على ذلك الإعلان. يمكنك حذف تعليقاتك، والإبلاغ عن تعليقات الأعضاء الآخرين إلى المسؤولين، وتُخفى عنك تعليقات الأعضاء الذين حظرتهم. وعند حذف حسابك، تُحذف تعليقاتك.
• إعلانات متجر العائلة: إذا نشرت إعلانًا في متجر العائلة (شيئًا للبيع، أو شيئًا تبحث عنه، أو نشاطًا تجاريًا، أو خدمة، أو غرضًا للإعارة)، نقوم بتخزين ما تدخله: العنوان والوصف والفئة والحالة والسعر والعملة والدولة والمدينة والصور ومقطع فيديو اختياري، وللنشاط التجاري اسمه وشعاره وحساب إنستغرام وخيار التوصيل وقائمة المنتجات. يظهر اسمك على الإعلان. لا يُنسخ رقم هاتفك إلى الإعلان أبدًا: تختار لكل إعلان ما إذا كان الأعضاء الآخرون يرون زرّي الاتصال وواتساب، اللذين يستخدمان الرقم المسجّل في ملفك الشخصي. لا تظهر الإعلانات إلا لأعضاء العائلة المعتمدين. وفي الأقسام التي تتطلب موافقة، يراجع أحد مشرفي العائلة الإعلان قبل ظهوره، ولا يرى الإعلان المرفوض إلا أنت والمشرفون. تنتهي إعلانات البيع والمطلوب والإعارة بعد 30 يومًا ما لم تجدّدها. كما نسجّل موافقتك على قواعد المتجر، والإعلانات التي تحفظها في المفضلة، ولا يراها أحد غيرك. يمكنك الإبلاغ عن إعلان إلى المشرفين وحظر صاحبه لتُخفى عنك إعلاناته. يتم الدفع والتسليم مباشرة بين الأعضاء خارج التطبيق — لا يعالج التطبيق أي مدفوعات ولا يجمع بيانات الدفع. وعند حذف حسابك، تُحذف إعلاناتك ومفضلتك.
• مشاركة إعلان في المتجر أو إعلان عائلي: عند الضغط على مشاركة، يجهّز التطبيق رسالة تتضمن التفاصيل ورابطًا، وتُرسل فقط عبر التطبيق وإلى الأشخاص الذين تختارهم (مثل واتساب). يفتح الرابط العنصر داخل التطبيق لأفراد العائلة، أما على الويب فيعرض صفحة عامة دون تفاصيل العنصر.
• الرسائل إلى المسؤولين: في حال تواصلك مع أحد مسؤولي العائلة عبر ميزة المراسلة في التطبيق، يتم تخزين النص وأي مرفقات ترسلها ليتمكن المسؤول من قراءتها والرد عليها. ويمكن للمسؤولين قراءة هذه المحادثات وحذفها كجزء من إدارة التطبيق.
• الرسائل الخاصة بين الأعضاء: يمكن للأعضاء المعتمدين إرسال رسائل خاصة فردية لبعضهم، بما في ذلك الصور ومقاطع الفيديو والتسجيلات الصوتية. يتم تخزين النص والمرفقات لعرض المحادثة لكلا الطرفين، ولا يستطيع قراءتها إلا العضوان المشاركان فيها — ولا يستطيع المسؤولون ذلك. إذا أبلغت عن رسالة، تُرسل نسخة من تلك الرسالة وحدها (نصها وأي مرفق بها) إلى مسؤولي العائلة لمراجعتها وحذفها عند الحاجة. يمكنك حذف الرسائل التي أرسلتها، وحذف محادثة من صندوق رسائلك، وحظر أي عضو بحيث لا يستطيع أي منكما مراسلة الآخر. وعند حذف حسابك، تُحذف الرسائل التي أرسلتها.
• المتابَعات: في حال اختيارك متابعة نشاط أحد الأعضاء في منشورات العائلة، نقوم بتخزين ذلك لإشعارك بمنشوراته وردوده وتفاعلاته الجديدة. يمكنك إلغاء المتابعة في أي وقت، مما يؤدي إلى حذف هذا السجل.
• تفضيلات التطبيق: إعدادات مثل نغمة الإشعارات التي تختارها، وما إذا كنت قد أغلقت لافتة الافتتاح، تُخزَّن مع حسابك لتنتقل معك إلى أجهزتك الأخرى.
• رمز الإشعارات: معرّف جهاز يُستخدم فقط لإرسال الإشعارات إليك (مثل تذكيرات مواقيت الصلاة أو تحديثات الموافقة)، عبر Firebase Cloud Messaging أو خدمة Apple Push Notification.
• الموقع الجغرافي (على الجهاز فقط): في حال تفعيل الوصول إلى الموقع، تُستخدم إحداثيات جهازك محليًا لحساب مواقيت الصلاة واتجاه القبلة بدقة. لا يتم إرسال بيانات الموقع هذه إلى خوادمنا أو تخزينها أبدًا — تبقى على جهازك فقط.

كيف نستخدم معلوماتك

تُستخدم معلوماتك حصريًا لتشغيل ميزات التطبيق: عرض شجرة العائلة والدليل، إرسال الإشعارات، إدارة نظام موافقة المسؤولين على الأعضاء الجدد وتعديلات شجرة العائلة، وتمكينك من مراسلة أحد مسؤولي العائلة أو الأعضاء الآخرين بشكل خاص، ومتابعة نشاط الأعضاء الآخرين في منشورات العائلة، ونشر الإعلانات وتصفحها في متجر العائلة، واستخدام محتوى داخل التطبيق مثل مواقيت الصلاة والقرآن الكريم والأذكار. نحن لا نستخدم بياناتك لأغراض الإعلان أو التسويق أو التحليلات، ولا نبيع بياناتك أو نشاركها مع معلنين أو جهات خارجية لتجميع البيانات.

خدمات الطرف الثالث

يعتمد التطبيق على منصة Google Firebase (المصادقة، قاعدة بيانات Firestore، وخدمة الإشعارات)، والتي تخزن وتعالج بيانات الحساب وشجرة العائلة والمحتوى الموضحة أعلاه نيابةً عنا. تُخزَّن الصور الشخصية والصور ومقاطع الفيديو التي ترفقها ومستندات البرامج التي ترفعها عبر خدمة Cloudinary. يعرض قسم الأخبار عناوين عامة من موجزات RSS العامة الخاصة بوسائل إعلامية خارجية (مثل بي بي سي والجزيرة) — ولا تُرسَل أي بيانات شخصية إلى هذه الجهات.

الاحتفاظ بالبيانات وحذفها

يتم الاحتفاظ ببيانات حسابك طالما ظل حسابك نشطًا. يمكنك طلب حذف حسابك والبيانات المرتبطة به في أي وقت عبر مراسلتنا على البريد الإلكتروني أدناه، أو بالتواصل مع أحد مسؤولي العائلة. وتجد التفاصيل الكاملة حول كيفية طلب الحذف وما يُحذف وما يُحتفظ به في صفحة حذف الحساب.

خصوصية الأطفال

التطبيق مخصص لاستخدام أفراد عائلة الخمّاش وغير موجه للأطفال دون سن 13 عامًا. قد يظهر أفراد العائلة من أي عمر في شجرة العائلة كسجلات يديرها أحد أفراد العائلة البالغين أو أحد المسؤولين.
